Of all the many great things I had to do on my internship at Sabouge, this was definitely one of the most fun.
This was essentially a sum of everything you could make explainer videos out of. In this case: new app explanations, safety instructions, assembly tutorials, new ideas, you name it…
The videos contained careful planning, sketching, storyboarding, 3D-modelling, texturing, rigging, illustrating, 2D-compositing and animation. Basically everything!
Two of the videos got uploaded to their instagram, another one wasn’t but I still upload it here because I’m really proud of that one as well. Under this text is also one of the storyboard as an example.
This project is about a (fictive) exposition about the moon landing, the mission of apollo 11. The result features a collage animation using only pictures released from the mission itself, by NASA. Using Photoshop, I released the subjects and other different layers from the background and made animations and compositions with the 3D camera in After Effects.
The video also features a self recorded voice-over along side precise sound-design. But the challenge was, alongside the tight deadline, to have a 16:9 version at precisely 25 seconds of length and a square version at precisely 10 seconds length. This makes it more difficult to manage, and to make sure you get the same message across the multiple videos.
None the less, I love how these videos turned out. You can watch both versions here!
The “Sport Noord Cup” is a fictive sport-event for students that takes place in Park Spoor Noord, here we had to make all kinds of 2D animated videos with as final assignment an explainer video with self-made backgrounds, self-designed characters and everything that is animated. This is the explainer video that was a final assignment of my 4th semester.
Characters and background are made in Illustrator and animated in After effects. This video took the longest time to make by far but it is one i’m the proudest of. The biggest challenge was animating the characters because that was the part I was the least experienced in.
Check the video out here! If you want to see a detailed 80 page process document on the assignment and any other assignments you can allways contact me.
This was the first animation we had to make regarding the “Sport Noord Cup” event, we had to design 3 icons for 3 sports that we were allowed to choose. We then had to make an animation flawlessly transitioning between these icons. No sound design on this assignment.
The icons are made in Illustrator with a lot of effects and then ported into After Effects to get animated. The project was fun and had a lot of creativity.

This is the second assignment for the “Sport Noord Cup” event.
A 2D animation where we had to combine self filmed footage with a character that was designed, rigged and animated by me. This project was really fun because of the combination of things. Filming, designing, animating and sound design all come together in this fun 20 second video.
The biggest challenge was incorporating the animation in the footage. A lot of color grading, tracking and shadows had to be used to make it whole and really work.

I have recently participated in a stop-motion workshop with REKKER in Hoboken wich was really fun. We made a simple stop-motion animation start to finish in 3 hours with paper. This workshop opened my eyes to how hard but fun stop-motion really was, it was interesting to finally make an animation practically and not just with keyboard and mouse. I will definitely do more stop-motion in my free time.

A 3D project for a brand called LOOP earplugs where we started with modeling the earplugs and texturing it. The assignment was to pair LOOP up with another brand of choice (that fit the collaboration of course), I chose to work together with Harley Davidson. We had a small script we had to follow but had to model our earplugs in the style of Harley Davidson to then make nice looking renders of it.
The filmed footage was taken from Harley Davidson but the 3D renders were all made by me in Cinema 4D with Redshift as it’s render engine. This assignment was fun because we had quite a lot of restrictions but that made it different from the rest.

This was a relatively small assignment where we had to make a logo animation. We had to choose between a small range of different logo’s and I chose YouTube. We had to use as many motion design principles in our animation because they are the basis of every good animation. Enjoy!
There is a 3D artist on YouTube called pwnisher, he does a lot of 3D challenges with his community where he challenges people to contribute with your own 3D render based on a template he made to then string them all together in 1 video, i’ve been following him for a while now so I was excited when I heard we were going to do his “Dynamic Machines” challenge with a twist as a school assignment. We had to choose a brand to work together with to make a dynamic machine branded with it, I chose lego and made this.

This is project I made in my free time. Kinetic Rush is another 3D challenge made by the youtuber “pwnisher” where you make a 3D scene based on a template. For this project I went for a “dreamcore” aesthetic where everything glitches and feels like you’re in a dream. I kept myself to the hard deadline that he sat.
More info about the challenge can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crNcaWULkMM
This is my final result!
Lately I’ve been really into the use of textures in design & animation, so I had to make a little animation to test my use of textures. I wanted to show the sort of nostalgia and wonder you feel when opening a treasure chest in videogames.
All visuals are made in Illustrator, and then ported into After Effects to animate and add certain effects like overlays, posterize time and displacement to give it a more uninque feel.
Here you can see the end result, alongside the behind the scenes!
This is the first time I’ve done 3D work in Unreal Engine. It’s an amazing tool to create concept art and sometimes even fully rendered scenes in no time. It takes some getting used to but it’s really satisfying to use because you get great results really fast. This was a quick test on importing a scene and a 3D character with animations from Mixamo and playing with camera angles and lighting.
This was a bigger assignment where we had to use Unreal Engine. We had to choose a car brand an model and make it ready for Unreal, we also had to search for a great environment to use. Then we had to render the shots and edit them together with an AI-generated voice-over (which was quite new at the time) and the right sound design of course.

This is a small project I did at my internship at Sabouge. I made a 3D render with cell shading in blender.
My concept was to portray a dad as a superhero, along with comic book-esque graphics. I started gathering inspiration and drawing a styleframe. This project is heavily focused on the character design, which I wanted to get better at. Other than that, the hardest parts were getting the model, rigging and shading right. Afterwards, the final compositing and text animations really pulled the whole animation together.
Enjoy the animation, the styleframe and some screenshots of the process!
This is another relatively small school assignment about making a 3D logo animation. This time we had to make use of effectors and generators to make a creative and original animation.
You can watch the video below!
For this project I needed to make an social media snackable for a fictive juice brand. The snackable needed to be made entirely in After Effects. All the Illustrations and animations are done by me, the photo’s were allready given to us.
This was the first animation I had to make in my first year in college and it came out decent in my opinion. Slowly getting the hang of After Effects felt really satisfying and this was the first assignment where I knew I wanted to pursue video & animation.

This was part of our final project in collaboration with Studio Rabona. We had a group of four students, and we had to make 9 high quality social media reels in their style.
Studio Rabona is an Antwerp based video production company, working with brands like DPG Media, Telenet, GoPlay and Proximus. They put heavy emphasis on creativity and storytelling, which was the most important thing we took to our work as well.
This is one of the reels I made, its a frame-by-frame logo animation. Up until then I never really dabbled in frame-by-frame animation, but this project was super fun to do and the people at Rabona were very impressed by it.
You can watch the result here. It’s uploaded on my teammate’s channel.
The rest of the reels I worked on are viewable in de VFX section here!
One of my favorite projects is this one. A music video for the 80’s inspired speed/trash metal band Syrion. I knew the guys from Syrion already, so I just asked if a music video was possible and they were very excited.
The song is called: “Glory is no more”
“The band rejects a deal with desire and knows a battle will therefore take place.
The band members resurrect an ancient “being” from a long lost battleground to stand and fight.
To the end of the song they run into battle trying to fight the army, leaving an open end to the story.”
I thought of an interesting intro that sets up more context and introduces the singer already, to really emphasize the storytelling. Throughout the song it plays old footage of wars and battles that are in the public domain.
I directed, conceptualized, filmed and edited the video by myself and, after showing the band, they really loved it.
You can watch the video here. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been uploaded on their channel. One of the guitarists left the band shortly after to pursue other things. Still I am really proud of what I have created here.
You can contact me if you want the whole processdocument in PDF.

A group school assignment where me needed to make a commercial for a random procduct, with a completely random filming style. In our case, we needed to film the commercial like a nature documentary.
After a lot of planning, we set out to Park Spoor Noord, grabbed a camera and our product and got some great shots. The post production was fairly simple, I had a lot of fun with the sound design as well.
Check out the finished product.
For this project I made a title sequence for sinister (a horror movie), the point was to make a title sequence from scratch making footage and animations by yourself and recreating the vibe of any movie you want.
Check the video out here!
One of the bigger projects was making a christmas video with a 3D intro, footage self taken and a ending title sequence also in 3D, this project took a long time but is certainly one of my favorites.

Another 3D project where we had to work together with a brand to make an advertisment. This time we had to work together with a delivery service, where I chose Uber Eats because there brand identity work best with the concept I already had. I wanted to make a 90’s retro sci-fi tv-show aesthetic ad with a bit of humor involved. My plan was to make it so you don’t immediatly realised you were watching an ad.
All the research, concept, storyboarding, shooting, 3D graphics, editing and sounddesign was done by me and i’m extremely proud of how this video came together. The editing of my video’s is always done in Premiere Pro and After Effects, the 3D elements were made in cinema 4D.

I got contacted by an old friend of mine who started as an independent electrician called Wapie Technics. He asked me to do a full branding: logo, style, colours, fonts, business cards, stamps, merchandise, door hangers, stickers and a fully functioning website.
I started developing the project together with a friend of mine who is also a graphic designer with more experience, but because she didn’t have a lot of time, she gave me most of the things to do and trusted me fully with it!
After the briefing, I gave my client a document with a couple of conceptualized ideas. He chose one of those ideas as his favourite, and we started developing that idea further and further. Many meetings and iterations later, we got the corporate identity down, and started on the actual deliverables.
Here is a collection of mockups I made for Wapie Technics.
The website deserves a whole other dedicated post, which you can check out here!

@designerbriefs is an Instagram account that posts a new briefing every week, it’s a sort of challenge to create a branding around a fictional company. In this case, it was an ice cream brand “Melto”.
“Melto isn’t pretending to be anything it’s not. No fluff, no fake health promises, just ice cream that tastes good and feels good. Straight from the tub, spoon in hand, zero judgment.”
We wanted to mix bold type, colors and photography with creamy animations and graphics.
This branding is made in collaboration with Remco Linssen. Trying to work more on our collaborations skills and conveying our visions to each other.
Check out our Instagram post!
This is another Designer Briefs challenge we did, this time the fictional company is Formade, an architectural firm.
ForMade is a modern architecture studio that blends minimalism with function. That’s the main point we tried to convey with this branding. How do we take simplicity and functionality, and make it stick.
This Design Brief is made in collaboration with Remco Linssen and Jan Vereycken.
This is only one of our 3 dedicated instagram posts, the other two are to be viewed on my Instagram account!
For this project the assignment was to create a new sub-brand for Kellog’s and design a new cerealbox. We learned a lot about researching and developing brand-identities and values for this project. I used mostly Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for this.
The main premise of Purely Planet is to have a cereal both healthy for you AND for the planet, with every region getting cereal with local ingredients. In this case, Belgian apples and strawberries!
Check out some of the pictures!
This school project is a magazine where we got sent all the articles and text. We then needed to design the whole layout with our own style. The hardest challenge here was trying to fit the whole article on a thight space and making it visually interesting. Lastly we got to print it and cut it professionally to become a professional finale result.
Check out the final print here! Once again you can contact me for a detailed process document.
This is a group project where we made a location based game that’s playable in your browser. This was made by 4 people by using HTML, CSS and Javascript. This project was a ton of work but we managed to divide the work evenly. Research, location scouting, storywriting, making graphics, creating a style and coding the whole game were some of the things we had to do for this project, but at the end it worked out really well.
You can also play it yourself via this link, only on mobile: https://chimerical-kulfi-c088c6.netlify.app/pages/start/index.html

This is the website I developed for my client. It features a logo animation made in After Effects and implemented with LottieFiles. It also features a red line throughout the whole front page, which animates as you scroll. This is one of my personal favourite effects I’ve implemented in websites.
Visit the website by clicking the image next to this.

For this project I needed to design a new interface for an electric car dashboard. We could use features like gps and voice control. For this project I used figma to make a high-fidelity prototype.
Check the video out here! (It’s in dutch only…)
I’ve also done some photography projects throughout the days. Sometimes I just take out my camera on walks, or during filming shoots, like walks through Buggenhout Bos or some school projects. Some examples are shown here.
